Xue Ying is a first-year PhD student at The University of Hong Kong, Faculty of Law. She obtained both her LL.B. and LL.M. (specializing in Intellectual Property Law) from Peking University Law School.
Under the supervision of Professor Haochen Sun, her research delves into the intersection of emerging technologies and legal frameworks. Her doctoral thesis focuses on the patentability of AI-generated inventions and the evolving doctrine of Fair Use in the age of generative AI.
